Joshua Tree Wedding Weekend

Recently Tim and I had the pleasure of photographing and experiencing a truly kindred spirit wedding. We hit it off with this couple right off the bat and when we heard that they were having their wedding in Joshua Tree we were so excited. Tim and I both have a love for the desert. We feel most peaceful there. Then, to top it off, Jenn and Jason invited us to come out early and enjoy the weekend festivities they had planned for their close knit group of guests. Most of the guests were coming from out of town, all over the world for that matter, so they made sure that their guests would get the most out of their Joshua Tree experience. We arrived Friday evening for dinner at Pappy and Harriet’s, a rad BBQ restaurant in a place called Pioneer Town–so cool! Right away we felt welcomed by everyone and knew it was going to be a great weekend. The next morning we all went on a hike! It was gorgeous and offered a stunning 360 degree view of the desert. I hope you enjoy the pictures! Check back for the two part wedding post!

Interesting location. And what a fun idea to invite the guests for a weekend of being together before the wedding took place! The volkswagon bus takes the prize in my mind!! :)

Pasadena Wedding: Cynthia and Marc

We had such an amazing time with Marc and Cynthia at their engagement shoot we knew their wedding day would be fabulous as well. And it so was! They had a beautiful ceremony at Nativity Church followed by a reception at the Rococo Room in Pasadena. We started our day at Marc and Cynthia’s apartment as Cynthia prepared to see her groom.

Cynthia’s hand made, lace wedding dress was just beautiful and only enhanced her natural beauty. The lovely bouquets were done by The Flower GardenGorgeous bride. Marc’s face is priceless as he sees his bride. I love the huge “here comes the bride” sign! All of the men wore traditional barongs (shirts) from the Philippines. We headed to downtown Pasadena for some portraits. Sweetness.The bridal party was a blast! While we waited for the grand entrance a gelato shop gave us all free gelato! Huge thanks to Tutti Galati!!! Definitely pay them a visit if you are in Pasadena. The gelato is phenomenal. The Rococo Room looked fabulous with all of Cynthia’s thoughtful details including succulent table settings, custom cake topper, and a candy bar. Thanks again, Cynthia & Marc, for having us as your wedding photographers! We had such a great time with you both and just love your kindess and sincerity to everyone around you. You guys have such a sweet love and we are so happy for your marriage! Here is to many happy years to come!

Thank you as well to all of the awesome vendors!

Happy Anniversary, Jonathan & Clarissa!

Jonathan & Clarissa, one year ago (only two weeks after our own wedding!) we had the honor of documenting your wedding. You two were so present in every moment with each other savoring each part of your day. It was such a privilege to witness that intensity and sweetness. We hope your first year of marriage has been a blast and that the years to come only build upon each other! Love you both!

You can see more of Jonathan & Clarissa’s wedding here.

Newport Beach with the Marianos

Our dear friends Jake and Jessica Mariano invited us to hang out with them at a beach house in Newport Beach and we were beyond stoked. We love them so much and miss them all the time now that they live up in Washington. They are rad wedding photographers so definitely check out their work. We had the best time hanging out and just loving life. We took some family photos on the beach and here are a bazillion of my favorites. I seriously almost had an aneurism trying to narrow it down. This post is freaky long. Don’t hate me. You’ll see why. This family is so beautiful! Thank you so much for having us, Jake and Jess! We can’t wait to see you again! This time in your neck of the woods :)
