We had so much fun on this engagement shoot with the wonderful couple that is Tara and Paul. Paul, a veteran of the marines and current editorial portrait photographer, and Tara, a teacher of special education, are quite the dynamic duo. It was hilarious listening to Paul’s off the wall cracks and seeing Tara’s looks of sweet amusement and possibly a few looks of horror? Just kidding, Paul! Their personalities compliment each other like peanut butter and jelly so it’s easy to see that they will have a great time being married and growing old together.
First we went to a little diner called Kay’s Kitchen. The staff there was so gracious and accommodating of us to shoot there! They treated us like family and the food was great too. Paul and Tara frequent this cafe so they thought it would be a perfect location to shoot in. It had a cool retro vibe to it.
Next we went to the Orange Circle in Anaheim where, coincidentally, Becker just happened to be shooting as well. It was an overcast day which worried us a bit but I think the soft light actually worked out quite well.
